About me
Born in 1994 in Košice, Tomas developed a passion for the night sky early in life. His childhood fascination with celestial mysteries and natural phenomena, such as eclipses and meteor showers, grew deeper when he first pointed an old camera toward the stars. Discovering the vast array of objects the camera could capture, beyond what was visible to the naked eye, sparked a lifelong journey into astrophotography.
Specializing in capturing the beauty of the night sky merged with natural landscapes, Tomas has gained international recognition for his work. Nine of his photographs have been selected as NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day, and twenty have been featured as the Earth Science Picture of the Day. His images have also appeared in prestigious publications, including BBC Sky at Night magazine, the global photography project The World at Night, the International Meteor Organization magazine, and the Finnish astronomy magazine Tähdet ja avaruus.
Tomas’s astrophotography has achieved worldwide acclaim, with additional publications in the scientific and technical journal Quark. Beyond photography, he is actively involved in education. As an owner and associate director of an educational initiative featuring an inflatable planetarium, Tomas creates and delivers engaging programs and lectures in schools, inspiring young minds to explore the wonders of space.
